Elizabeth Quay, Barrack Square

The Elizabeth Quay project, located in the heart of Perth’s CBD, is a striking example of contemporary urban design that blends architectural sophistication with functional outdoor spaces. The use of Classicplank 175×40 and 85×40 Jarrah decking adds a refined aesthetic while ensuring the durability needed to withstand the high-traffic demands of a bustling public square.

Designed by ARM Architecture and constructed by Leighton Contractors, the Elizabeth Quay project features a layout that encourages outdoor engagement, with expansive decked areas that frame panoramic views of the Swan River and Perth’s skyline. The warm, rich tones and textured grain of the Jarrah timber bring a natural, organic quality to the urban environment, offering a sharp contrast to the surrounding modern architecture and creating a sense of continuity with the natural landscape.

Each piece of Jarrah decking was carefully selected for its distinct characteristics, ensuring a harmonious and visually appealing result.
