Applications
Because of its stability and aesthetic charm, Tulipwood is commonly used for exterior timber cladding. Dependent on the level of maintenance, this timber is an excellent option for exterior timber cladding designed to weather off to the natural elements. Tulipwood’s thermal modification process allows the timber to weather off to a silver patina
but remains a strong timber board. The thermally-modified timber is also a suitable option for internal applications on commercial and residential designs where a strong, dark complexion is desired.

Our Trendplank profile was originally designed for exterior cladding, but is now also available for interior use. Cladding can be installed on walls and ceilings in various rooms around the office or at home.
Tulipwood FINISHES
A great benefit of Tulipwwood is that it’s available in many finishes. For a natural look, we recommend the clear oiled. We also have the SiOO:X Weather Protection finish, which is made especially for exterior cladding and is highly resistant to the elements.

Tulipwood has a slightly darker colour than untreated pine. Generally, thermally modified timber like Tulipwood is consistent in colour.
Natural Features
Because is a thermally modified timber, it has many natural features that are present in this species. Such features include gum veins and a prominent grains, which are widely present across the timber.
