Located in the coastal suburb of Fairlight, NSW, this architecturally refined residence was designed by Heliconia and built by Stratti Building Group. The project seamlessly integrates Mortlock Timber’s PROPLANK Click-in Batten System, ensuring a cohesive and sophisticated timber aesthetic across interior walls and ceilings.
The design of this residence aimed to seamlessly integrate timber throughout the home, creating a harmonious connection between interior and exterior spaces. The natural grain and warmth of American Oak timber soften the modern architectural lines, adding depth and texture while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
To meet the design specifications, pre-kerfed mounting rails were used to allow timber battens to follow curved surfaces, demonstrating the flexibility of Mortlock’s PROPLANK system. This precise detailing enhances the flow of natural materials throughout the home, reinforcing the project’s contemporary coastal character.
