Mandurah Forum

Mandurah, WA

about the project

Mandurah Forum, located in the vibrant coastal city of Mandurah, WA, is a modern, single-level regional shopping centre designed to cater to a wide range of retail and dining experiences. Designed by Hames Sharley and built by Multiplex, the centre features a seamless integration of high-quality materials, with Blackbutt timber and Vic Ash beams chosen for their durability and aesthetic appeal in the seaside environment.

The Marineplank 135×20 Blackbutt decking and Prolam Vic Ash beams are carefully selected to complement the building’s contemporary design while ensuring resilience against the coastal elements. Blackbutt, known for its strength and resistance to wear, provides a striking contrast to the surrounding landscape, while Vic Ash adds a sense of warmth and natural beauty to the interior spaces. Both timbers offer excellent performance in terms of durability and low maintenance, making them ideal for high-traffic, outdoor, and interior areas of the shopping centre.

These timber elements not only elevate the visual appeal of Mandurah Forum but also enhance the overall experience for visitors. Whether underfoot or above, the use of Blackbutt and Vic Ash creates a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere, reinforcing the centre’s role as a premier shopping and dining destination in the heart of Mandurah.
